Ambition for Ageing Bolton in Partnership with WiN (Women in Neighbourhoods) Celebrates Senior Women’s Positive Contributions in Bolton Community #IWA2017
Ambition for Ageing Bolton are celebrating ‘ Outstanding Senior Woman Award.
People living in Tonge with the Haulgh, Halliwell or Crompton in Bolton nominated older women in their neighbourhood who inspired them with their work and commitment in community.
Six ladies made to the finalists and Winner will be announced on IWA 2017, on 12 May in a gala celebration. There will be 17 other categories and some our Senior ladies are finalists in other categories too!

Photos and video will be made which will focus solely on Senior Women and their contributions in Bolton, and that this may feed into a bigger video which is being produced by WiN which covers all age categories. Fifty meals will be provided for people over the age of 50 who have either been nominated for an award or older people who have been highlighted as a community ambassadors.
WiN will also start a regular ‘The Pearls of Wisdom’ blog which will have 6 entries made in partnerships between WiN and older people from the community. WiN will provide training opportunities to ensure that older people can sustain their online blog.
Ambition for Ageing in Bolton is delivered through a partnership of organisations in the area. Bolton CVS, Age UK Bolton and Bolton at Home will work in the wards of The Halliwell, Crompton and Tonge with The Haulgh over the next five years with the aim to create age friendly communities through relationships created and stronger local assets. Ambition for Ageing Bolton is supported by an advisory group of older people, volunteers, Ambition for Ageing Champions and local businesses.
