“Bolton Wanderers Community Trust is a Registered Charity working in all areas of the borough of Bolton. We have projects in all fields ranging from Education, Disability, Health, Social Inclusion, Cohesion and Girls Development. The Trusts motto is “inspiring people, creating chances, changing lives” The Gr8er Goals Project is based in Great Lever looking to improve local community issues through sport, workshops and qualifications. We have two different sessions aimed at different age groups, our day time sessions are run down at Bobby Heywood’s Park for anybody 16-30 on a Monday and Wednesday from 10:00am-12:00pm on a Wednesday the session also has a drop in held in the community centre at the park and this is on from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the drop in we aim to get in different external groups to deliver courses to the men attending the course and put them through qualifications such as F.A Level 1 and Sports Leaders Awards. Our night time sessions are run at two sites Bobby Heywood Park and SS Simon and Jude’s. These sessions are on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights, Tuesday and Friday at SS Simon and Jude’s and Thursday at Bobby Heywood Park. The session is aimed at young people to get them actively involved in sporting activities and guide them away from Anti-Social Behaviour.”
