On Friday, 20th September, Bolton residents gathered in the town hall square, joining thousands of people around the UK in protesting about climate change.
Greta Thunberg, the Swedish schoolgirl who started to protests to raise awareness of the risks posed by climate change, says “We have run out of excuses and we are running out of time”.
At the demonstration in Bolton people were encouraged to speak out about their concerns. A number of people had banners. It was a moving experience because all the people were here to express how deeply passionate they are about looking after the environment.
It certainly made you think about the dangers we face and why we need to act.
