The Orange Club UK has been founded by Gary Loftus, former Head of Community Building at a Manchester charity.
The Orange Club UK provides training, development and technical support in many aspects of community engagement, with a particular expertise around (ABCD) Asset Based Community Development, a methodology created by McKnight and Kretzmen of the North Western University in Chicago. The Orange Club UK have developed a number of unique training programmes that focus on strengths of our abundant neighbourhoods, ranging fromFundraising, Monitoring and Evaluation, fun teamsessions with Laughter Yoga, ABCD and Women in Communities workshops. Since their launched in February 2015 a number of training sessions have been commissioned within Greater Manchester and around the UK. Gary draws on his 15 years experience in regeneration and community work, having led on local projects and starting his career in 2000 at the New Deal for Communities team. He is also an experienced trainer and facilitator and he has worked with numerous organisations from around the UK, helping them understand and learn about Asset Based community Development.
