Bolton Council will be holding a vigil in support of all those affected by yesterday’s attack in Manchester.
The vigil will be on Bolton Town Hall steps at 6pm tonight and will be led by Canon Matt Thompson on behalf of Bolton Council and the Bolton Faith Leader’s Forum.
There will be a one minute silence and there will be prayers for all those affected by the attack, especially those who have lost loved ones.
The vigil will be linked to and held at the same time as the vigil in the centre of Manchester, to show solidarity across Greater Manchester.
The vigil will be attended by the Mayor of Bolton, the Leader of the council, elected members and representatives from all faiths.
Anyone who wishes to bring candles or flowers will be able to lay these on the town hall steps or on the grass around the war memorial.
We would like to encourage everyone who can to attend the vigil.
