As we move into November the weather inevitably begins to change and the cold snaps begin. Temperatures are expected to be in low single figures throughout the north of England by early morning on Wednesday and Bolton Council have announced via social media that they will be gritting the roads tonight. It’s the first ‘grit’ of the season and they will be doing a full route, with 317 miles of road being treated.
Do take care if you are out and about early tomorrow morning, either driving on minor roads that haven’t been gritted, or walking on pavements and footpaths that may have become icy.
